The UMD Environmental & GIS Career Fair connects students with employers looking to hire for full-time and part-time jobs and internships in the fields/area of,

We expect over 100 students majoring or minoring in Geography, Geospatial Data Science, Environmental Science and Policy, Remote Sensing, or Environmental Science and Technology to attend. Our Geographical Sciences and Environmental Studies majors have a variety of skills, from data source management and statistics, spatial and satellite data analysis, and cultural interpretation and policy assessment.

Fair Schedule
- 11:45 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.: Employer Check-In, Stamp Student Union - Colony BallroomCheck-In and Booth Setup
- 12:30 p.m.: Student Check-In & Career Fair Entry Begins
- 3:00 p.m.: Career Fair Ends
Booth Space & Technical Support: Registered organizations will receive one (1) 6’ table, two (2) chairs, wireless access, booth signage, and parking for two (2) representatives. You are welcome to bring a tablecloth, a standing banner, promotional materials, job announcements, and any swag or promotional items you wish to share with students.
Access to outlets will not be available. Please note that we don’t have the facilities to receive packages or mailed items. We recommend that you only use items that are easy to carry and that you can bring with you. Business casual to business professional attire is requested.
- For-Profit Organization - Single Table (2 Representatives): $250
- Government Organization - Single Table (2 Representatives): $225
- Non-Profit Organization - Single Table (2 Representatives): $200
- UMD Campus Office - Single Table (2 Representatives): Free
Your organization’s invoice will be attached to your fair confirmation email. Payment can be made by check or credit card, however credit card payments are preferred. Send questions to Michael Martucci, mmartucc@umd.edu or 301.314.7238. The University Career Center accepts payment through a check or credit card at https://sa-umd.nbsstore.net/career-center. Once your organization's registration is approved, you will receive an email with an invoice and detailed payment instructions to complete your registration.
- PAYMENT DEADLINE: Please note that full payment is due upon receipt of your invoice.
- CANCELLATIONS & REFUND DEADLINE: The deadline to receive a full refund and avoid owing a balance is Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ADMINISTERED AFTER THIS DATE.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to the University Career Center at careerfairs@umd.edu. Failure to cancel in writing by the cancellation deadline will result in your organization being responsible for the registration fee, regardless of the circumstances.
